Network Configuration for Accountant Offices

Scenario

A small Information Technology Managed Service Provider's (MSP) primary business is implementing network and server infrastructure for local accountant businesses. The accountants are not technically savvy and would rather have a trusted technology partner to manage their infrastructure. While the primary business for the MSP is infrastructure for tax offices, they also provide device management, including antivirus, patching, and application deployment.

The small managed service provider has multiple servers set up in the cloud and has installed a business-grade hardware firewall at each client office. The servers already have the latest tax and accounting software needed by current and future clients.

The managed service provider needs to set up a connection to allow their accountant clients to access the servers securely. The accountants also need access to the servers if they are not within their office. The accountants require that they do not have to manually install or manage anything except logging in to the remote server and software. The accountants have desktops at their main office and laptops at their home offices.
